Is this a virtual office?

Yes. A virtual office gives your business a real address without renting a desk. You get an address at 94–96 Fulwell Road in Sunderland, mail scanning and, on Admin and Exec, a registered office.

It doesn't include desk space or meeting rooms. It's an address and a post service.

Can I use it as my registered office?

Yes, on the Admin and Exec plans. You can also use it as your directors' service address, so your home address stays off Companies House.

The Simple plan gives you a business and trading address only.

Which plan should I choose?

If you only need an address for your website and invoices, choose Simple.

If you run a limited company, choose Admin. It covers your registered office and directors' service address.

If you want the original letters as well as the scans, choose Exec.

Do you take parcels?

No. We handle letters only, on every plan. Please don't give the address to couriers or use it for returns.

What happens to legal and HMRC post?

We scan it like the rest of your post. On Admin and Exec we also flag it as urgent and text you straight away, so you don't miss a deadline.

How fast will I know my post has arrived?

The same working day. Letters that arrive on a working day are scanned that day, and you get a text and an email when they are.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Give us 30 days' notice and we'll stop your plan at the end of it. There's no long contract.

Remember to change your address with Companies House and anyone else who writes to you.

Is my ID check secure?

Yes. Your documents are kept in private storage in London, and only the staff who check them can see them.

The law says we must keep these records for five years after you leave. Then we delete them.

What does the £39 setup fee cover?

It's a one-off verification and activation fee. It pays for your ID, address, and sanctions checks, and for setting up your account.

It isn't refundable once the checks have run.

What if I don't want my post opened?

That's fine. When you sign up you choose whether we scan your letters. If you'd rather we didn't, we text and email you when a letter arrives and hold it for you to collect. On Exec, we post it on with the weekly forwarding.

How long do you keep my scans?

90 days. You can read and download them in your account at any time before then. After 90 days we delete them for good.

Are you regulated?

Yes. We're supervised by HMRC for anti-money laundering as a trust or company service provider. Any business that provides registered office addresses must be.

It's one reason we check every customer's ID before their address goes live.

Do you cover Newcastle and the rest of the North East?

The address is in Sunderland, at 94–96 Fulwell Road in Roker. You don't need to be based nearby to use it.

Customers can be anywhere in the UK, including Newcastle, Durham and the rest of the North East. We scan your post, so you can read it wherever you are.

Is it a real building?

Yes. Your post comes to 94–96 Fulwell Road in Roker, Sunderland, where the team at The Good Estate Agent receives and scans it.
